Welcome to Natsume Maya's anime and manga webpage.
This is my first webpage, so I've kept it basic. This
page is best viewed in a 800x600 screen (full screen).
My pic of Natsume Aya, younger sister of Maya! ^_^ (My
third pic in many years.)
ANIME AND
MANGA NEWS
The news page is just intended as a supplement to
whatever source you normally read for your anime and
manga news. I generally only report something here if I
haven't seen it reported on some well-known English
language news site, so my page will not contain complete
news.
I won't generally report news on hentai anime or manga,
nor computer games, since I'm not interested in those.
There's a lot of goods new sites for game news anyway (I'm
sure). I don't report much seiyuu news either.
Further, whenever I refer to a product, whether anime or
manga, I'll be referring to the Japanese release unless
otherwise specified. And I don't report all upcoming
releases - I often only report on releases that will be
limited edition or come with bonus items (although I
might sometimes report on when a particular title
commences release). My news also tends to focus on anime
more than manga. This is because (i) the sites I get my
news from tend to focus more on anime and (ii) there's a
lot more manga out there and I'm not as aware of what
manga titles are popular among fans in the West.
FANSUBBING
AND MANGA TRANSLATION
Umm, I originally created this whole site because a
friend suggested I promote my fansubs. But I don't
distribute the subs I create, so... I dunno ^_^;; Anyway,
for certain reasons, I've decided to update this page
only very rarely. Since I created this page, the fansub
page has only been update perhaps twice, and the last
time was in the first half of 2002.
HOW
TO SHOP AT MANGAOH CLUB
I'm not particularly endorsing this shop or anything.
I've just found it helpful if you're looking for certain
fan items or want to import a combination of anime and
manga from Japan. If you're looking for a site in English
for CDs/DVDs, try Jungle
SCS (for second hand items) or a site like CDJapan.
Note this page has a lot of graphics. I don't want to pay
for the bandwidth, so if you're not genuinely interested
in shopping from a store in Japan, please don't visit
this page. Thanks for your co-operation. m(_ _)m
I'd hoped to have this page up a couple of months ago
^_^;; Sorry for the delay. After all that work, I've
realised it's probably not going to be much use to
people, since you're going to have to be able to identify
the title of what you want in Japanese script. But I've
completed the page, so I might as well put it up. I hope
at least one person will find it useful ^_^;; Please read
the huge disclaimer at the beginning. Thanks m(_ _)m
KIMAGURE
ORANGE ROAD BOARD GAME
You've read the manga and novels, you've watched the
series and movies, you've listened to the radio doramas.
Now play the board game! ^_^ If you
actually happen to have copy of this game, I'd think it
might be worth quite a bit in Japan. In keeping with the
rest of this website, this page is a useless waste of
time ^_^;;
FUSHIGI
NO UMI NO NADIA COLLECTOR'S DISC
For those of you who've bought the GAiNAX Fushigi
no Umi no Nadia Collector's Disc CD-ROM. CD-ROM,
you may notice that it's missing pic towards the top
right hand corner of the back of the case (ie of the New
Nautilus rising out of the water). To make up for this
omission, GAiNAX has the pic available for download on this
page of its website. I've created a new CD-ROM with
the omitted picture. If you want to do the same, just
follow these instructions on the page I've set up.
ANIME INDUSTRY
Just a few brief articles on the anime industry and the
major players. The articles are basically taken from
Animation Grand Prix magazine, but I've added a dash of
information as well. The articles are:
Anime
DVD, CD sales and distribution
Anime
related publishing
Anime
studios and producers/distributors
Seiyuu
production companies
FRAGMENT OF THE STARS
Well, the fourth instalment in the Seikai (Crest of the
Stars, Banner of the Stars) anime series was announced in
December 2004, so it seemed a good time to start
attempting to translate some of the Seikai short stories
by author Morioka Hiroyuki. First up was Jealousy. But with news that the
novels have been licensed in the US, I'm stopping this
project (which was on hiatus in any event...).
BANNER OF THE STARS IV
I've started a summary of those novel. Updates will be irregular.
MY CEL GALLERY
Nothing amazing, but there are a couple there which I
really treasure.
AIR GEAR
DOUJINSHI and DOUJIN GOODS
To commemorate the broadcast of the Air Gear TV anime,
I'm starting a page on the
various Air Gear doujinshi and doujin goods which are
available. This is a work in progress. It's nowhere near
finished yet. Air Gear inspires quite a bit of doujinshi,
particularly female oriented doujinshi.
THE TAQWACORES FOR THE KUFR
Not related to anime, manga or Japan. A glossary of Muslim,
Arabic and other terms used in the book The Taqwacores. A work in
progress. Updates will be irregular.
